The Royal Decree 121/2020 promulgating the Value Added Tax Law in Oman was issued on 12 October 2020 and the Value Added Tax was published in the Official Gazette on 18 October 2020 (Sunday). The Royal Decree 121/2020 states that the Law will come into force in 180 days from 18 October 2020 which may be mid of end of April 2021. The Executive Regulations are expected towards the end of December 2020 and registrations for VAT with the Tax Authority expected to begin early January 2021.

In order to help prepare the companies and professionals subject to VAT, we are conducting this useful event where we are trying to provide a comprehensive understanding of the VAT and answer all your questions. All delegates will receive an English Translation of the VAT Law and an informative FAQs sheet as post event material.
